In the mid 70s to around 1980, I worked as a rock photographer in NYC and as an associate editor at 16 magazine under Danny Fields. I was fortunate to have been a member of what I call the first graduating class of CBGBs ca. 1975.

Most of my music photos hail from this period of time. There are mainstream acts included here as well because we often shot for record companies. Finally, there are some country musicians here because Mary Harron invited me along on her assignments to Nashville, Houston, Austin and Dallas,some of the most wonderful trips of my life. We are both hardcore country and roots music fansthus the inclusion of Ernest Tubb, Scotty Stoneman, Johnny and June and more in the list below.
